So it didn't work out. Pray for all of us to handle our disappointment, but we are thankful that they are being cautious and have her best interest in mind. These lungs shared two "markers" with the lungs she is already rejecting, so the risk of her rejecting the new ones were too high to take the risk. And they DO NOT do third transplants. So, we can't take that chance.
We are not losing heart. But our God is good and He has her in His hands and has from the beginning. So we move forward. However, pretty bummed is a great discription of where we are.
Upside... Now we can eat?
