Sometimes tenacity is not a good thing.

It has been 10 days on the vent, and I know one girl who is more than ready to get off of the thing. She is mentally ready, but she is really not physically ready. So there is a battle between what is natural and what is machine. Pray they can make this as comfortable as possible with meds and adjustments. There is still talk of a possible transplant, but not at this time because they want to get her stronger. Pray for the rest of her body to remain healthy until the lungs can catch up.

I can only imagine how tired she must be because the healthy ICU waiting room crew is growing weary as well. Both Danny's family and Tracie's family are having to make adjustment. There is family that is traveling back and forth from the Hill Country, and Troy is driving in from a town south of Fort Worth. Between not wanting to leave and knowing sometimes you have to, it is really hard for our hearts and emotions. Pray especially for Danny, Tracie, and her husband. Troy and I have been pretty flexible, but I know that it is hard to have to be oneplace when your heart is really someplace else. Tammy is blessed to have such a great family.
