Three Tuesdays ago, Tammy was rushed to the hospital. That was a bad day. Two Tuesdays ago, she was intebated. That was a horrible day. Last Tuesday her oxygen output from the machine was lowered from 75% to 50%. That was a good day. Today? Today is a good day! She currently is on 40% oxygen output from the vent, and they lowered her PEEP to 5. Five is significant because that is the "usual" number they look for to begin trying to ween patients off! We are cautiously optimistic because we know that very little has been "usual" about anything that has happened. But again, I find myself celebrating God's goodness! She is keeping her 97% oxygen saturation!
I was reminded again today of how my impatience to see her better is not exactly the kind of waiting Psalm 27 talked about. I am thankful to Him that it is not how "good" I am that determines how good He is to me!
Sorry to those of you who check several times today. I had to work all day. By the time I got to the hospital, I couldn't get in to see her. THEN, when I sat down to type, the computer wouldn't connect to the internet. I felt a little like Charlie Brown. Anyway, I know that it is your love and concern for her that keep you coming back, and I apologise that my access to the blog is not always the most timely. Please, bear with me. Daniel has to work tomorrow, and I am not sure when I will be able to get to a computer. However, I will be @ the hospital for the next several days, so you can always call. I pray that you will rest well and that our good news today made you smile or do a little dance!
Made me smile AND do a little dance!! Go Tammy Go!
